Welcome to our Fall Bible Study…Bad Girls of the Bible! Oh Divas, I get all excited and giddy as I think about our time together in God’s Word! Remember, you can participate in this study right here on our blog and follow along at home! Simply enter some of your thoughts in comments. If you are in the Kernersville, NC area and would like to join us every other Saturday at 8:30, please do so (Saturday September 7, 2013 will be our first session)! Check out the details on our Meetup Page.
Along with studying God’s Word, we will be reading “Bad Girls of the Bible” by Liz Curtis Higgs. We will take a walk on the wild side and learn from some well-known and not-so-well-known biblical sisters and their disastrous mistakes. Together, with God’s grace, we will learn to choose a better, more redemptive path.
The author of Bad Girls of the Bible, Liz Curtis Higgs, shares valuable insights, practical lessons, and memorable stories to help today’s women learn from the bad girls of long ago. This study is enlightening, fun, challenging, and life-changing!
Each chapter of the book begins with a fiction short story to help bring our leading ladies to life. In the back of the book, there are discussion questions (one for each chapter) that we will discuss here on the blog and in our live class. In addition to the discussion questions, Liz includes study questions for each chapter to allow for further study. We will cover some of the study questions on the blog and in our live class:)
A blog post will be posted each week about the woman we are studying. Please read our posts and share your thoughts in the comments!
During our “together time” in class, we will watch Liz Curtis Higgs discuss her book “Bad Girls of the Bible” on DVD, and we will have our classic “girl-time talk”.
You don’t want to miss it!
